Role Description The Consultant Physician / Intensivist will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to inpatients, with a strong focus on critically ill patients in the ICU. Day-to-day responsibilities include clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients, as well as supervision of junior medical staff and close coordination with nursing and allied health teams. The role involves monitoring patient progress, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, performing necessary procedures within scope of practice, and ensuring adherence to clinical protocols and patient safety standards. The Consultant Physician / Intensivist will participate in clinical rounds, multidisciplinary case discussions, and documentation of care in medical records, while supporting quality improvement and infection control initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role based at DIYAA HOSPITAL in Chikodi.
