Webb City, MissouriSalary: $80,000–$130,000 annually, depending on experienceMissouri Metal Recycling is seeking an experienced Assistant General Manager to join the leadership team at our Webb City, Missouri facility.This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands the scrap metal recycling business and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, industrial environment. The Assistant General Manager will work closely with the General Manager to oversee day-to-day facility operations, employees, equipment, maintenance, safety, and production.We are looking for someone who can help lead the operation today while developing into an even larger leadership role within the company.ResponsibilitiesAssist the General Manager with the overall day-to-day operation of the recycling facilityHelp oversee production, purchasing, processing, shipping, and yard operationsProvide leadership and direction to supervisors and employeesWork closely with the maintenance department to prioritize repairs, preventive maintenance, equipment availability, and downtimeHelp ensure heavy equipment, processing equipment, trucks, and other facility assets are properly maintainedIdentify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, recovery, and operating costsMaintain a strong focus on workplace safety and environmental complianceAssist with employee hiring, training, development, accountability, and performanceHelp manage inventory and material flow throughout the facilityWork with management to establish and achieve production and financial goalsDevelop strong relationships with customers, suppliers, employees, and vendorsStep in and make operational decisions when necessaryQualificationsMinimum 5 years of experience in the scrap metal recycling industry requiredPrevious management or supervisory experience in a scrap recycling operation strongly preferredExperience working with or overseeing a maintenance department requiredStrong understanding of heavy equipment and industrial processing equipmentKnowledge of ferrous and non-ferrous scrap operationsAbility to manage people and hold employees accountable while maintaining a positive working environmentStrong problem-solving and decision-making skillsAbility to prioritize production needs, maintenance requirements, safety, and customer demandsComfortable working both in the office and throughout an active scrap recycling facilityStrong communication and organizational skillsCompensation$80,000–$130,000 per year, based on experience, qualifications, and ability to take on responsibility.BenefitsMissouri Metal Recycling offers a competitive benefits package, including:Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP)401(k) with company matchMedical insuranceDental insuranceVision insurancePaid time offAdditional company benefitsWhy Join Missouri Metal Recycling?This position is an opportunity to take on a significant leadership role in an established scrap recycling operation.
