Role Summary

Owns full delivery and financial performance for a division/region spanning multiple concurrent portfolios, directing a team of Senior Project Managers. Accountable for divisional margin, cash flow, growth, staffing strategy, and enterprise-level risk. Serves as the primary link between field delivery and executive leadership.

Core Accountabilities

Divisional P&L: margin, cash flow, WIP, forecast accuracy across multiple portfolios

Business development strategy: pursuit positioning, proposal input, client growth

Staffing/org design across the PMT: hiring, promotion, succession planning for Senior PMs

Executive/ownership-level client relationships, including enterprise-level dispute escalation

Enterprise risk oversight: safety, quality, schedule, commercial exposure

Capital/resource allocation across competing priorities

Standardization and continuous improvement of delivery methodology

Key Responsibilities

Own full P&L for a division/region, directing multiple Senior PMs from pursuit through closeout

Champion zero-incident safety culture at the divisional level

Serve as executive sponsor for major clients (ownership/C-suite engagement)

Direct staffing/resource decisions, balancing demand against bench strength

Partner with BD/estimating on pursuit strategy and go/no-go decisions

Approve major commercial strategies (vendor negotiations, subcontracting, claims)

Report divisional performance/risk to executive leadership on a regular cadence

Standardize delivery methodology, build training curricula, institutionalize lessons learned

Own succession planning and career development for Senior PMs and high-potential PMs

Education

Bachelor's in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field required

MBA or advanced executive leadership training strongly preferred

OSHA-30 required; OSHA-500 preferred

Experience

15-20+ years progressive project delivery experience, including prior Senior PM (or equivalent) service

Demonstrated success directing multiple Senior PMs/PMs across concurrent projects or a full division/region

Proven divisional/regional P&L ownership, including margin recovery and growth

Experience contributing to BD, proposal strategy, or client expansion

Certifications

PMP required/strongly preferred

Advanced training in contracts, risk management, or executive leadership preferred
