Forward Deployed Engineer

The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, multi-tasker, and demonstrated team-player. You will be a responsible for the deployment of our product. You should excel in working with multi-location retail clients and have outstanding communication and management skills.

Your Role

• Lead end-to-end implementation of Zentallio's decision-platform modules (POS / Inventory / HR / Production / Finance) at client sites from requirements gathering and configuration through data migration, UAT, and go-live.
• Document client requirements and author functional specification documents that translate business processes into clear, structured system configurations, serving as the reference for implementation, QA, and client sign-off.
• Partner directly with client finance, operations, and store teams to map existing workflows (COGS, stock valuation, reconciliations, month-end close) onto Zentallio's platform, flagging gaps early and proposing fixes.
• Own the technical and functional relationship with mid-to-large retail, F&B, and fashion clients, acting as the primary on-the-ground engineer through rollout and stabilization.
• Configure and validate financial and inventory logic (costing methods, tax rules, GL mappings, stock valuation) to ensure client books reconcile correctly post go-live.
• Train client teams and hand over cleanly to Support, documenting configuration decisions and edge cases to build out internal implementation playbooks.
• Work closely with Product and Engineering to relay real-world client requirements, data quirks, and edge cases from the field into the roadmap.

Requirements

• Up to 5 years of experience in ERP implementation, financial systems consulting, or a client-facing technical/functional role.
• MBA (Finance) ACCA or CA (part-qualified or qualified) required; solid grounding in accounting principles, financial reporting, and cost/inventory accounting.
• Background in finance, audit, or financial systems is a strong plus.
• Comfortable working hands-on with data, configurations, and troubleshooting; exposure to SQL, spreadsheets, or ERP/SaaS platforms preferred.
• Strong client-facing communication skills; able to explain both financial and technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed and work directly with retail/F&B/fashion operations teams.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field.
