Architectural Draftsman – Interior Architecture

Location: Delhi NCR

Employment Type: Full-time

Experience Required: 2–5 years

About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Draftsman to join our interior architecture and design team. The candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate, coordinated and execution-ready drawings for residential, hospitality and commercial interior projects.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of interior construction, materials, joinery and site execution—not merely software proficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed architectural and interior working drawings.
• Develop plans, elevations, sections and construction details from design concepts.
• Prepare setting-out, flooring, reflected ceiling, lighting, electrical and plumbing drawings.
• Produce detailed drawings for kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, bars, wall panelling, ceilings and custom furniture.
• Prepare door, window, finish, hardware and sanitary schedules.
• Translate sketches, presentations and design intent into technically accurate drawings.
• Coordinate drawings with structural, MEP, lighting, HVAC and other consultants.
• Incorporate site measurements and prepare accurate as-built drawings.
• Revise drawings based on design development, consultant inputs and site conditions.
• Identify drawing conflicts and resolve discrepancies before execution.
• Maintain drawing standards, layer systems, file organisation and revision records.
• Coordinate with designers, project managers, vendors and site teams.
• Conduct occasional site visits to verify dimensions and clarify drawings.
• Ensure drawings are issued according to project timelines.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD is essential.
• Working knowledge of SketchUp is preferred.
• Sound understanding of interior construction methods and detailing.
• Knowledge of furniture, modular joinery and bespoke millwork detailing.
• Familiarity with materials such as veneer, laminate, stone, metal, glass, upholstery and solid wood.
• Ability to read architectural, structural and services drawings.
• Strong dimensional accuracy and attention to detail.
• Good communication, coordination and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple drawings and projects simultaneously.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience with an architecture, interior design or design-and-build firm.
• Candidates must submit a portfolio or sample set of technical working drawings.

Preferred Candidate

• Has experience preparing complete GFC and execution drawing packages.
• Understands how drawings translate into actual site work.
• Can independently develop technical details and flag potential execution issues.
• Has worked on high-end residential, hospitality or commercial interiors.
• Is organised, accountable and comfortable working within deadlines.
