Title: Vice President, Nuclear Fuel – Core Design & HALEU Supply ChainLocation: Oak Ridge, TN (Hybrid)Salary: $260,000 – $330,000 + Executive Equity + Relocation Package
The Opportunity: If you are a recognized leader across the nuclear fuel cycle and core neutronics, this is your opportunity to solve one of the energy sector's most critical supply chain challenges.
Our client is securing the multi-decade fuel foundation for advanced reactor fleets, leading the commercialization and deployment of High-Assay Low-Enriched Uranium (HALEU) and proprietary fuel element designs.
What You’ll Do:Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations for conversion, enrichment, deconversion, and fuel fabrication contracts.Direct the core physics team executing criticality safety, burnup calculations, and thermal-hydraulic fuel performance modeling.Oversee the physical qualification testing and regulatory submittals for proprietary fuel elements before federal regulators.Ensure compliance with Material Control and Accountability (MC&A) and federal nuclear material transportation security standards.
What We’re Looking For:15+ years of leadership across the nuclear fuel cycle, reactor core design, or advanced fuel manufacturing.Commercial acumen and deep technical knowledge of enrichment economics (SWU), centrifuge dynamics, and TRISO or metallic fuels.Active executive network across fuel fabricators, enrichment providers, national laboratories, and DOE program offices.B. xzbcwsv S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering, Materials Science, or Radiochemistry (DOE Clearance eligibility required).
