Job Description
The Key Account Manager – India is responsible for driving the sales of specialty products (base oils, insulating oils) produced or distributed by **** within the chemical and tyre and Lube markets. This role demands a strategic and hands-on leader who can manage customer relationships, ensure credit compliance, and contribute to the growth and operational efficiency of the India sales office.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Market Development
- Achieve sales targets in terms of revenue and volume.
- Expand market share among existing and potential customers.
- Conduct market analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitor strategies.
- Develop and maintain a robust market inventory including prospects, volumes, and pricing levels.
Customer & Credit Management
- Serve as the primary legal representative for *** India in customer dealings.
- Establish and monitor customer credit limits in coordination with central bookkeeping and Coface.
- Ensure outstanding credit per customer does not exceed the limits.
- Actively manage customer satisfaction and resolve issues promptly.
Operational & Financial Oversight
- Collaborate with sales and administrative staff to maintain an efficient office organization.
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and performance analyses.
- Contribute to managing fixed cost budgets and maintaining quality systems (TQM).
- Support the team in maintaining a well-functioning sales office.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Supervise and support the work of Sales Administrator, Sales Assistant.
- Act as a reference person for global applications upon request from Competence Transfer.
- Ensure alignment with company's vision and mission.
