About the Role

We are looking for a detail-oriented USA Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities for U.S.-based businesses. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of U.S. bookkeeping practices, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage financial records.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain accurate and up-to-date books and financial records.

- Record and reconcile daily financial transactions.

- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations.

- Prepare and maintain monthly financial reports.

- Track invoices, expenses, payments, and receipts.

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.

- Review financial records for discrepancies and resolve accounting issues.

- Maintain organized documentation and supporting financial records.

- Coordinate with clients, accountants, and internal teams as required.

- Ensure bookkeeping activities follow applicable U.S. accounting practices.

- Payroll accounting

Requirements

- 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience, preferably supporting U.S.-based businesses.

- Strong understanding of U.S. bookkeeping and accounting principles.

- Experience with QuickBooks Online is preferred.

- Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

- Strong reconciliation and financial reporting skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Good written and verbal communication skills.

- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

- Comfortable working in U.S. time zones.

Preferred

- Experience working with U.S. clients.

- Familiarity with payroll, sales tax, and basic U.S. compliance requirements.

- Experience handling multiple clients or entities.

- QuickBooks certification is a plus.
