Role Description The LPG Cylinder Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Islamabad. This role involves inspecting, testing, and maintaining LPG cylinders and related equipment in accordance with safety standards and company procedures. The technician will handle verifying cylinder condition and labeling, setting up the cylinder, and support safe storage and stacking practices. Daily responsibilities include installing the LPG cylinder and coordinating with the operations team for delivery schedules, documenting inspection and maintenance activities, and reporting any safety or quality issues promptly. The technician will also assist with basic troubleshooting of leaks or faulty valves, follow emergency response protocols, and communicate clearly with team members to ensure safe and efficient LPG distribution operations.

Qualifications

• Technical skills related to LPG cylinders and equipment, including basic mechanical aptitude, understanding of gas handling procedures, and familiarity with tools used for inspection and maintenance.
• Safety and compliance skills, such as knowledge of LPG safety standards, hazard identification, use of personal protective equipment, and adherence to company safety policies.
• Operational and logistical skills, including ability to follow delivery schedules, manage cylinder inventory, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with drivers and warehouse staff.
• Communication and teamwork skills, including clear verbal communication, ability to follow written instructions, and collaboration with operations, customer service, and supervision staff.
• Physical ability to perform manual handling tasks, such as lifting and moving cylinders, working in outdoor and warehouse environments, and standing for extended periods.
• Relevant experience in LPG, gas distribution, or a similar technical or field operations environment is preferred.
• Basic education (secondary school or technical certification) in a mechanical, electrical, or industrial field is an advantage.
• Willingness to work in shifts as needed, follow emergency procedures, and participate in ongoing safety and technical training.
