Key ResponsibilitiesProvide privacy and security leadership and guidance for Rural Health Transformation Program initiatives.Review RFPs, RFQs, MOUs, MOAs, BAAs, and data-sharing agreements to ensure privacy and security compliance.Conduct privacy and security risk assessments, including assessments based on NIST SP 800-53 Revision 5.Implement privacy and security by design principles across technology solutions, business processes, and program initiatives.Ensure compliance with HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules and other applicable regulatory requirements.Identify, evaluate, and mitigate privacy and cybersecurity risks involving sensitive healthcare information.Support third-party and vendor risk management activities.Participate in incident response, compliance reviews, audits, and remediation activities.Support data governance, data-flow reviews, and the development of privacy and security policies and procedures.Contribute to change management, security awareness, and privacy-by-design initiatives.Collaborate with RHTP leadership, program teams, legal, IT, compliance, vendors, and external stakeholders.Required Qualifications2+ years of experience working with state government health and human services organizations.5+ years of direct experience supporting Medicaid, healthcare, public health, or human services programs.1+ year of experience with RHTP Initiative 6 or similar large-scale healthcare transformation initiatives.5+ years of experience implementing privacy and security by design within technology and business initiatives.5+ years of familiarity with NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST Privacy Framework, NIST SP 800-53, or similar frameworks. xzbcwsv 7+ years of experience performing risk assessments based on NIST SP 800-53 Revision 5.5+ years of knowledge and experience implementing HIPAA Privacy and Security Rule requirements.7+ years of experience reviewing RFPs, RFQs, MOUs, and MOAs for privacy and security regulatory requirements, particularly for RHTP Initiative 6.
