About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with strong hands-on experience in Python backend development, API development, database integration, and building scalable applications.

The ideal candidate should have strong programming fundamentals, experience working with production-grade applications, and the ability to independently design, develop, debug, and optimize backend systems.

Experience in cybersecurity, threat intelligence, security products, data-intensive applications, or Saa S platforms will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Python. Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services. Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code. Work with databases such as Postgre SQL / My SQL / Microsoft SQL Server / Mongo DB. Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability. Integrate third-party APIs and external services. Implement authentication, authorization, logging, error handling, and security best practices. Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis. Participate in code reviews and contribute to development standards. Work closely with Product, QA, Dev Ops, and other engineering teams. Write unit and integration tests. Develop background jobs, scheduled tasks, and data-processing workflows where required. Contribute to system architecture and technical design decisions. Mentor junior developers and support technical knowledge sharing.

Required Technical Skills

Python

Strong proficiency in Python 3.x. Excellent understanding of OOP, data structures, algorithms, exception handling, and Python best practices. Experience with frameworks such as Fast API, Django, or Flask.

API & Backend

Strong experience developing REST APIs. Understanding of API authentication and authorization. Experience with JSON, HTTP/HTTPS, API integrations, and asynchronous programming. Knowledge of microservices architecture is an advantage.

Database

Strong SQL knowledge. Experience with relational databases such as Postgre SQL / My SQL / SQL Server. Knowledge of No SQL databases such as Mongo DB is a plus. Understanding of query optimization, indexing, and database design.

Development & Dev Ops

Hands-on experience with Git/Git Hub/Git Lab/Bitbucket. Understanding of Docker. Familiarity with Linux environments. Exposure to CI/CD pipelines is an advantage. Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP is a plus.

Good to Have

Cybersecurity product development experience. Experience working with large datasets or data-processing pipelines. Knowledge of Redis, Celery, Kafka/Rabbit MQ. Experience with Elasticsearch/Open Search. Exposure to AI/ML or LLM-based applications. Understanding of secure coding practices and OWASP principles.
