Software Quality Assurance Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Associate QA Engineer with 0–1 year of experience who can effectively use Claude to support software quality assurance activities. The candidate will assist in test case creation, test execution, defect identification, regression testing, and QA documentation for healthcare applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Create and maintain test cases, test scenarios, and test data using Claude.
• Execute functional, regression, and smoke tests for healthcare applications.
• Identify, document, and report defects with clear steps to reproduce, expected results, and actual results.
• Use Claude to analyze requirements, generate test scenarios, review test coverage, and improve QA documentation.
• Validate healthcare workflows, including patient demographics, scheduling, encounters, diagnoses, medications, laboratory, imaging & Immunizations.
• Perform basic API testing using Postman and database validation using SQL.
• Assist in validating healthcare data formats, including HL7, as required.
• Maintain test execution reports and defect tracking in DevOps or similar tools.
• Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and senior QA engineers to ensure product quality.

Required Skills

• Basic understanding of software testing concepts and the Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
• Knowledge of functional testing, regression testing, test case design, and defect reporting.
• Practical ability to use Claude for test case generation, requirement analysis, test data creation, and QA documentation.
• Basic knowledge of healthcare workflows or willingness to learn EHR systems.
• Familiarity with DevOps, Postman, and SQL is an advantage.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication skills and willingness to learn new tools and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Internship, academic project, or hands-on experience in software testing is a plus.
• Basic understanding of healthcare terminology, patient records, diagnoses, CPT codes, and lab results is desirable.
• Ability to review and validate AI-generated test cases and results rather than relying solely on AI-generated output.
