At WDS Construction, we’re looking for an ambitious and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager (APM) to help deliver exceptional commercial construction projects across the country. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals who are eager to gain hands-on experience and learn from experienced project managers, superintendents and industry leaders.
As an APM, you’ll play a key role in supporting projects from preconstruction through closeout while developing the skills and experience needed to grow into a Project Manager role. What You’ll DoSupport Project Managers & Superintendents throughout all phases of constructionReview and process submittals, RFIs, change orders & project documentationAssist with bid coordination, scope development & purchase ordersHelp maintain project schedules, budgets & cost trackingParticipate in project meetings, site visits & project closeout activitiesCoordinate with subcontractors, vendors, clients & project teamsSupport safety initiatives & quality control effortsTravel to project sites as needed to gain valuable field experience
What We’re Looking ForBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering or a related field preferredStrong organizational skills & attention to detailExcellent verbal & written communication skillsAbility to manage multiple tasks & thrive in a fast-paced environmentProficiency with Microsoft Office & construction management software such as ProcoreA collaborative mindset & willingness to learnA commitment to WDS’s core values: Hungry.
