Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Upgrade Planning & Execution : Lead technical planning, perform pre-/post-upgrade tasks, and ensure system readiness.
• System Copy Planning : Define and execute system copy strategies for development, QA, and production environments.
• End-to-End Testing : Conduct regression testing, functional validation, and performance benchmarking after upgrade/system copy.
• Report Validation : Verify critical reports, dashboards, and queries for accuracy post-upgrade/system copy.
• Data Integrity Checks : Perform reconciliation and consistency checks across environments.
• Performance Benchmarking : Monitor and optimize query performance, cube loads, and ETL processes.
• Transport Management : Support transport requests and environment synchronization during upgrade/copy.
• Documentation : Prepare technical documentation, test scripts, and validation reports.
• Stakeholder Collaboration : Work closely with BASIS, functional teams, and business users to ensure smooth execution.

Required Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in SAP BW (7.x/4.x or higher) including modeling, ETL, and reporting.
• Proficiency in ABAP debugging for issue resolution.
• Familiarity with SAP BO universe, Reports & publications (I.e. Nice to have)
• Experience in test planning and execution for large-scale upgrades.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Prior involvement in end-to-end upgrade projects with full testing cycles.
