Senior Accountant – Technical Accounting Greater Chicago | Hybrid A leading global healthcare products and supply chain organization is adding a Senior Accountant to its Corporate Accounting team. This is a high-visibility opportunity focused on equity accounting, stock-based compensation, EPS and SEC reporting, with significant exposure to complex accounting matters and cross-functional projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys technical accounting and complex transactions and wants to work on high-impact initiatives within a large, growing organization. What You'll Do: Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations related to equity transactions Calculate quarterly stock-based compensation expense, EPS and income attributable to noncontrolling interests Support financial statement footnotes and assigned areas of SEC filings Research complex accounting matters and prepare accounting memos Analyze transactions involving significant accounting judgments and estimates Support internal controls over financial reporting and process improvement initiatives Partner cross-functionally on new business initiatives, system integrations and other major changes impacting financial reporting Collaborate with Corporate Accounting and Consolidations/Reporting teams on technical accounting matters Support tax, audit and other ad hoc reporting requests What We're Looking For: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field 2+ years of corporate or manufacturing accounting experience Strong understanding of GAAP Advanced Excel skills, including functions such as Power Query, Power Pivot, INDEX/MATCH and pivot tables Strong technical accounting and analytical skills Experience with technical accounting or external reporting is a plus Experience with SEC reporting or public accounting experience with public-company clients is a plus Experience with stock-based compensation, equity accounting or EPS is a plus Experience with SOX 404 controls is a plus CPA or Master's degree in Accounting is strongly preferred Why Consider It?
