We are seeking an experienced Assistant Controller to join the headquarters finance team of an established, chemical manufacturing and water-treatment company in Miami.

Key Responsibilities
Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities.Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial statements.Oversee accounting activities across legal entities, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely reporting.Maintain compliance with GAAP and established internal controls.Partner with manufacturing, distribution, and other operational teams to resolve accounting issues and improve financial visibility.Identify opportunities to strengthen accounting processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.Work closely with finance leadership on ongoing business and accounting priorities.
Qualifications
8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including significant financial close and general ledger responsibility.Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls.Experience managing accounting across multiple entities, business units, or locations.Proficiency in Excel and experience with ERP systems; Acumatica is a plus.Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.Ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively with both finance and operational leadership.Manufacturing, chemical production, distribution, transportation, or other multi-location industry experience preferred. xzbcwsv Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
$130K-$160K base salary dependent on experience
