Role Summary

The Consultant – Master Data Management (Cloud) is responsible for developing, configuring, and supporting Informatica IDMC Master Data Management solutions across Customer 360, Supplier 360, Business 360, and Reference 360. Working as part of a delivery team, the Consultant contributes to the implementation of master data solutions by configuring business entities, developing integrations, implementing data quality rules, and supporting testing and deployment activities.

The role requires strong technical skills, a solid understanding of Master Data Management concepts, and the ability to work collaboratively with functional consultants, architects, and client stakeholders to deliver high-quality MDM solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

Master Data Configuration

Configure business entities, relationships, hierarchies, reference data, and business attributes based on functional and technical specifications. Implement Match Rules, Trust Models, Survivorship Rules, Duplicate Prevention, and Cross References (XREF) to support Golden Record creation. Configure business validations, lookup values, code lists, and reference data required for master data domains. Validate configurations against business requirements and resolve functional or configuration issues identified during implementation. Maintain configuration documentation and update technical artefacts throughout the project lifecycle.

Data Integration & Migration

Develop Cloud Data Integration (CDI) mappings to ingest and synchronize master data from multiple source systems. Build Cloud Application Integration (CAI) processes to automate business workflows and master data transactions. Develop REST API integrations to exchange master data with enterprise applications. Participate in data migration activities, including data mapping, transformation validation, reconciliation, and data loading. Investigate and resolve data synchronization issues between source systems and Informatica MDM.

Match, Merge & Data Quality

Configure and validate Match & Merge rules in accordance with business requirements. Implement Trust and Survivorship configurations across customer, supplier, and business domains. Configure Cloud Data Quality (CDQ) rules for data validation, profiling, standardization, and duplicate prevention. Analyse data quality issues, identify root causes, and implement approved corrective actions. Assist business users during data validation, defect resolution, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Testing & Production Support

Perform unit testing for developed configurations, integrations, and enhancements. Support System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and production deployment activities. Investigate application defects, perform root cause analysis, and implement fixes within assigned workstreams. Support production releases by validating deployments and assisting with post-production stabilization. Prepare deployment documentation, release notes, and technical handover documents.

Client Delivery

Participate in requirement gathering sessions, design discussions, and solution walkthroughs with functional and technical teams. Translate functional specifications into technical configurations and development tasks. Provide regular implementation updates to project leads and proactively communicate delivery risks or technical issues. Collaborate with integration teams, data quality teams, and business users throughout the implementation lifecycle. Adhere to established delivery standards, coding guidelines, and implementation best practices.

Practice Contribution

Contribute to reusable implementation assets, templates, and technical documentation. Participate in internal knowledge-sharing sessions, technical forums, and product training initiatives. Continuously enhance technical knowledge across Informatica IDMC services and cloud technologies. Support practice initiatives aimed at improving delivery quality and implementation efficiency.

Required Skills & Competencies

Hands-on experience implementing Informatica Customer 360, Supplier 360, Business 360, or Reference 360 solutions. Working knowledge of Cloud Data Integration (CDI), Cloud Application Integration (CAI), and Cloud Data Quality (CDQ). Good understanding of Master Data Management concepts, including Golden Records, Match & Merge, Trust, Survivorship, Hierarchy Management, Reference Data Management, and Cross References (XREF). Basic understanding of Data Governance concepts, including data stewardship, reference data, metadata, and data quality. Experience writing SQL queries and working with relational databases. Familiarity with REST APIs, JSON, and modern integration patterns. Exposure to cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Understanding of Agile delivery methodologies and software development lifecycle (SDLC). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot technical issues. Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross-functional delivery teams.

Experience

3–6 years of experience in Master Data Management, Data Integration, or Enterprise Data Management. Hands-on experience implementing Informatica Customer 360, Supplier 360, Business 360, or Reference 360 projects. Experience working in consulting, system integration, or enterprise application delivery environments is preferred.

Preferred / Nice to Have

Informatica IDMC certifications in Customer 360, Supplier 360, CDI, CAI, or CDQ. Exposure to Product 360 or Reference 360 implementations. Experience integrating Informatica MDM with enterprise applications such as SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, or Workday. Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or other cloud data platforms. Understanding of Data Quality and Data Governance best practices. Exposure to Dev Ops practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control tools.
