Help win major highways projectsAndrews Recruitment are one of the UK's leading Aggregate & Building Materials Recruitment partners andwe’re recruiting for an experienced Estimator to support a major highways and infrastructure contracting business across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West.This is not just a role for someone who can produce a price. The successful Estimator will understand the commercial, operational and technical detail behind a scheme, build competitive tenders and help present a solution that makes commercial sense to the customer.The RoleAs Estimator, you’ll take responsibility for pricing and tendering work from initial enquiry through to submission.Typical responsibilities will include:Producing accurate and competitive estimatesReviewing drawings, specifications and tender informationAssessing commercial, contractual, operational and technical riskObtaining and reviewing supplier and subcontractor quotationsBuilding tender submissions around customer requirementsSupporting value-engineering and alternative solutionsWorking closely with operational and commercial teamsContributing to tender reviews and bid strategyReviewing completed tenders and identifying lessons learnedEnsuring tenders meet internal governance and commercial requirementsWhat We’re Looking ForWe’re interested in people with genuine experience of estimating within highways, surfacing, civil engineering or infrastructure.You should be able to demonstrate:Previous estimating or tendering experienceStrong understanding of highways, surfacing, civils or infrastructure projectsCommercial awareness and confidence assessing riskAbility to interpret technical and contractual informationConfidence working with operational and commercial stakeholdersAbility to work accurately to deadlinesExperience with NEC contracts, highways frameworks or public-sector infrastructure work would be advantageous but is not essential.The TeamYou’ll join an established estimating and commercial function, working alongside senior Estimators, Contracts teams and operational colleagues.Packageup to£47,000 base salaryCompany carUp to 8% annual bonusPrivate medical insurancePensionAdditional company benefitsSupport towards professional qualifications37.5-hour working weekFlexible / hybrid workingLeeds, Manchester or Salford base depending on locationThe role covers projects across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the North West, so candidates across Lancashire, Cheshire, Merseyside and surrounding areas are encouraged to apply. #J-18808-Ljbffr
