<p> Snapshot of Your Day: </p><p> We are looking for an Engineering Bid Project Manager in Houston, TX to identify and understand customers requirements and develop technical solutions based on the product portfolio. </p><p> How Youll Make an Impact: </p> <ul> <li> Involved in early development phases, analysis of customer requests, and leading technical discussions along contract negotiations. </li> <li> Coordinate the technical proposal and costs. </li> <li> Responsible for running preliminary thermodynamic calculations in order to select the right size Steam Turbine for the project. </li> <li> Validate and endorse the technical aspects of the solution offered in the bid. </li> <li> Responsible for selling technical products, services, installations, and configurations to assign customers for specific technical products and applications of products. </li> <li> Provide technical interface between customer and company engineering, manufacturing and program management representatives. </li> <li> Carry out research on customer technical specifications and requirements with current or potential technical specifications of company products. </li> <li> Prepare and conduct technical sales briefings for customers and company representatives. </li> <li> Develop potential technical specifications, pricing considerations and contract requirements. </li> <li> Prepare sales forecasts and investigate new applications or improvements to products with customers. </li> <li> 30% domestic travel required. </li> <li> Telecommuting permitted. </li> </ul><p> What You Bring: </p><ul> <li> Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of experience. </li> <li> Full term of experience must include: rotational machinery understanding; </li> <li> advanced understanding of thermodynamics; </li> <li> knowledge of US standards such as API and ASME; </li> <li> energy related products and technologies such as steam turbines, combined cycle and cogen plants; and </li> <li> use of thermodynamic-based tools such as TRUCA or equivalent technical proficiency with other engineering tools. </li> <li> 30% domestic travel required. </li> <li> Telecommuting permitted. </li> <li> The position is eligible for the Employee Referral Program. </li> </ul><p> To apply, please email resumes to siemensenergy.resumes@siemens-energy.com referencing job code: MK/GS. </p>
