Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced HW Board Design Technical Lead to lead the design and development of complex high-speed embedded hardware platforms for automotive and industrial applications. The role requires strong expertise in hardware architecture, PCB design, high-speed interface implementation, board bring-up, validation, and technical leadership. The candidate should be capable of independently driving projects from requirements to product realization while mentoring engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities

Own end-to-end hardware design activities from requirement analysis to product release. Define system and board-level architecture for high-speed embedded hardware platforms. Design and develop Analog, Digital, and Mixed-Signal circuits. Perform schematic capture, design reviews, and PCB layout guidance. Lead board bring-up, debugging, validation, and root cause analysis. Implement and validate high-speed interfaces and communication protocols. Conduct signal integrity, thermal, and power analysis to ensure robust product design. Prepare design documentation, engineering reports, test plans, and customer presentations. Collaborate with FPGA, Firmware, Mechanical, and Validation teams for system integration. Manage technical risks, reviews, and design compliance activities. Drive small to medium-sized projects independently while mentoring junior engineers.

Mandatory Technical Skills

Hardware Design & Architecture

Strong experience in Embedded Hardware Design and Product Development. Expertise in Analog, Digital, and Mixed-Signal Circuit Design. Hardware architecture definition and component selection. Board-level design and system integration.

PCB Design

Schematic Capture and PCB Design. Multi-layer High-Speed PCB Design. PCB Layout Review and Design for Manufacturability (DFM). Experience with board bring-up and hardware debugging.

High-Speed Design

DDR3 / DDR4 / DDR5 Memory Interfaces. High-Speed Serial Interfaces. PCIe. Ethernet (10/100/1000 Mbps). Automotive Ethernet. FPD Link / MIPI (preferred).

Communication Protocols

Ethernet. CAN / CAN-FD. SPI. I2 C. UART. USB. Memory Interfaces.

FPGA & Processor-Based Design

FPGA-based hardware design and integration. Microcontroller and Microprocessor-based system design. Embedded system architecture understanding.

Validation & Debug

Hardware Testing and Validation. Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer usage. Signal Integrity troubleshooting. Power Integrity debugging. Root Cause Analysis and Failure Investigation.

Analysis

Thermal Analysis. Power Estimation and Optimization. Reliability and Component Derating Analysis.

Preferred Skills

SI/PI Analysis exposure. EMC/EMI Debugging and Compliance Testing. Functional Safety awareness (ISO 26262). PLM and Change Management tools. Knowledge of Automotive Hardware Development Lifecycle.
