You will track developments across student housing, higher education and international student mobility, identify meaningful trends, and translate them into insightful articles, newsletters, reports and LinkedIn content for an industry audience.
We are looking for someone who doesn't just report what happened, but can use data and research to explain what it means and why it matters.
What You'll Do
• Analyse datasets and industry information to identify trends, patterns and emerging themes.
• Conduct in-depth secondary research using government data, industry reports, regulatory updates, company announcements and other credible sources.
• Write original analysis pieces, industry insights, reports and thought-leadership content.
• Track developments across student housing/PBSA, higher education, international education and student mobility.
• Translate complex data and research into clear, compelling narratives for a B2B audience.
• Curate and produce engaging B2B newsletters, from identifying relevant stories to developing the editorial narrative.
• Create research-led LinkedIn content around industry trends, data and developments.
• Identify interesting stories and editorial opportunities from datasets, market movements and sector developments.
• Work with internal subject-matter experts and other stakeholders to strengthen the quality and accuracy of published content.
• Coordinate with research, marketing, design and leadership teams to ensure timely publication.
• Maintain high standards of accuracy, sourcing, originality and editorial quality.
What We're Looking For
• 3–5 years of experience in B2B publishing, editorial, business/industry writing, research-led content or a similar role.
• Strong ability to analyze and interpret datasets and identify meaningful trendlines.
• Demonstrated experience conducting secondary research and developing original analysis from findings.
• Excellent writing, editing and storytelling skills, particularly for professional or B2B audiences.
• Experience creating newsletters, analytical articles, reports and/or LinkedIn content.
• Strong editorial judgment and the ability to determine what is relevant and valuable to an industry audience.
• Ability to independently manage multiple pieces of work while coordinating with different stakeholders and publication timelines.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to factual accuracy.
Good to Have
• Experience covering student housing, PBSA, higher education, international education or student mobility.
• Previous experience with a B2B publication, business media platform, research/intelligence firm or industry-focused publication.
• Experience conducting primary research, including expert interviews, surveys or industry stakeholder conversations.
• Experience working with quantitative data and translating it into data-led stories, charts or reports.
Why This Role Matters
The goal is to build credible, research-led editorial content that helps industry stakeholders better understand the forces shaping student housing and higher education.
You'll have the opportunity to go beyond conventional content creation-working with data, spotting trends, developing original perspectives and shaping stories that are genuinely useful to the industry.
