Project Manager – Swachh Bharat Mission–Urban (SBM-U) Location: Pali, Rajasthan Employment Type: Contractual (Project-Based) Reporting To: CEO / Authorized Officer Salary: ₹25,000 – ₹30,000 per month About Samvedna Development Society (SDS) Samvedna Development Society (SDS) is a leading non-profit organization working with Government Departments and Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) to implement sustainable urban development initiatives. SDS actively supports flagship programmes such as Swachh Bharat Mission–Urban (SBM-U) through project management, capacity building, stakeholder coordination, and urban sanitation initiatives. Position Overview The Project Head/Manager – SBM-U will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring project activities under Swachh Bharat Mission (Urban) 2.0 . The role involves close coordination with Municipal Council (MC Pali) , Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), and other stakeholders to ensure effective implementation, compliance with SBM-U guidelines, and timely achievement of project objectives. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage overall implementation of SBM-U project activities. Coordinate with Municipal Council (MC Pali) , ULB officials, and other stakeholders. Supervise project teams and ensure timely execution of project deliverables. Monitor project progress and maintain reports, MIS, and project documentation. Support activities related to Swachh Survekshan , certification, and urban sanitation initiatives. Ensure compliance with SBM-U guidelines, project timelines, and quality standards. Identify implementation gaps and recommend corrective measures. Facilitate review meetings and provide regular project updates to management. Qualifications & Experience Graduate/Postgraduate in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Urban Planning , or a related field. Minimum 3 years of experience in SBM-U, Solid Waste Management (SWM), Urban Governance , or similar Government projects. Experience working with Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) or Government Departments will be preferred. Key Skills Strong knowledge of SBM-U guidelines and Swachh Survekshan processes. Excellent project management, stakeholder coordination, and team leadership skills. Strong documentation, reporting, and MIS preparation abilities.
