Key Responsibilities
Design and Analysis : Develop safe structural systems, including beams, columns, and foundations. Load Calculations : Compute pressures, weight limits, and stress responses against weather and usage. Material Selection : Choose appropriate, high quality construction materials based on project needs. Site Inspections : Visit active construction sites to monitor contractor work and verify safety. Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all plans match local building codes and legal safety rules.Education : Degree in Structural Engineering or a related civil field.
Software Knowledge : Proficiency in tools like Auto CAD, Revit, or Tekla Structures.
Analytical Mindset : Strong math and problem solving skills for complex stress testing.
Communication : Ability to coordinate effectively with builders, contractors, and architect
