Tephra Capital is a pre-seed fund backing infrastructure at the intersection of stablecoins, payments and custody. Four partners: our managing partner ran digital asset trading at GSR and headed digital asset markets at Goldman Sachs before that, our protocol engineer has shipped two L1 clients, and I spent years building and auditing Solidity contracts before moving to the investing side. We write the first check into 6-8 teams a year. Any fund worth your time survives a Google, our people and our deals are easy to find.

The roleWe are opening a small number of Venture Partner seats for people who already live in the crypto markets and want a formal seat on the other side of the table. This is sourcing and judgment work, not sales. You bring the network and the market sense, we bring the capital, the diligence process and the term sheets.
What you do:Source 2-3 genuine pre-seed opportunities per year from your own network, stablecoins, payments, custody, DeFi infrastructureOpen warm doors for portfolio founders in your regionJoin quarterly all-hands with the full partnership and our founders, engineering deep-dives included
What qualifies youA personal digital asset portfolio of $100,000 or more, self-custodied or on reputable venues. This is our conviction filter: partners here eat their own cooking5+ years trading, operating or angel investing in crypto marketsBased in the US, Canada, UK, EU, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, Japan, South Korea or TaiwanGenuine network among traders, exchange operators or protocol engineers
