ROLE OVERVIEWThe Senior Domain Sales Engineer – Cloud & Applications (Supply Chain) is a hybrid domain expert, technologist, and pre-sales solution professional who works directly with clients to shape, design, and validate supply chain technology solutions before they are sold and delivered. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDomain-Led ConsultingBring deep supply chain domain expertise — plan, source, make, deliver — into solution designMap client operational processes, ERP and execution systems, and physical constraints into technical solutionsIdentify transformation opportunities aligned to business KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, cost-to-serve, and forecast accuracyBuild credibility with client stakeholders from plant and distribution-center operators to supply chain executivesAdvise on the sequencing of ERP modernization, execution-system change, and cloud platform investmentPre-Sales / SalesPartner with account teams to shape opportunities early / proactive business developmentTranslate client problems into clear, differentiated solution approachesLead technical scoping, architecture definition, and solution designCreate POCs, demos, or pilot solutions — control-tower prototypes, integration accelerators, migration assessments — to prove feasibility and valueSupport proposal development, pricing inputs, and deal strategyBuild defensible estimates for application modernization and cloud migration work, including run-cost modelingCloud & Application Architecture / Hands-on EngineeringRapidly prototype integrations, workflows, or data pipelines between ERP, execution systems, and cloud servicesWork across cloud, data, API, and AI/ML domains as neededEnsure solutions are implementable, scalable, and production-ready — and resilient enough for operations that cannot stopEnsure clean handoff from pre-sales to delivery and application-managed-services teamsProvide architectural guardrails, reference patterns, and context for execution teamsIn some cases, stay engaged in early delivery phases to stabilize outcomes
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONSDomain ExpertiseThe ideal candidate is a technologist in cloud, applications, integration, and AI/ML, with deep expertise in supply chain within Manufacturing and/or Retail / Consumer, bringing both architecture knowledge and hands-on industry process experience across:Supply Chain Processes — Hands-on experience across demand and supply planning, S&OP/IBP, procurement and sourcing, manufacturing execution, inventory and warehouse management, transportation and logistics, and order fulfillment.Enterprise Applications — Working command of at least one major ERP or supply chain suite — SAP (ECC/S4HANA, IBP, EWM, TM), Oracle (EBS, Fusion SCM), Microsoft Dynamics 365, Blue Yonder, o9, Kinaxis, Manhattan or similar — including how the standard process flows and extension points actually behave.Cloud Platforms & Engineering — Practical depth in one or more of Azure, AWS, or GCP — landing zones, containers and Kubernetes, serverless, IaC (Terraform, Bicep), CI/CD, observability, and cost management.Integration & Interoperability — Solid knowledge of integrating ERP with WMS, TMS, MES, supplier portals, and 3PL/carrier networks — API and event-driven patterns, middleware (MuleSoft, Boomi, SAP PI/PO, Azure Integration Services), EDI/B2B standards, and idempotent, replayable interfaces for transactional flows. xzbcwsv Supply Chain Data Architecture — Understanding how order, inventory, shipment, and production data flows from operational systems into data platforms and analytics environments in a cloud-native architecture; familiarity with real-time telemetry from IoT, shop-floor, and logistics sources.
