Assistant professor- structural engineering

Key Responsibilities

Deliver lectures, tutorials, laboratory sessions, and practical classes in Structural Engineering and related Civil Engineering subjects. Prepare lesson plans, study materials, assessments, and evaluate student performance. Mentor students in academics, projects, internships, and career development. Conduct quality research and publish in reputed journals and conferences. Guide student projects and encourage innovation and problem-solving. Participate in curriculum development and implement Outcome-Based Education (OBE) practices. Supervise Structural Engineering laboratories and ensure effective utilization of laboratory resources. Support departmental activities, accreditation processes (NBA/NAAC), examinations, admissions, and academic administration. Build industry collaborations through internships, consultancy, guest lectures, and industrial visits. Perform any other academic or administrative responsibilities assigned by the Head of Department.

Qualification

B. E./B. Tech in Civil Engineering and M. E./M. Tech in Structural Engineering or equivalent specialization. Ph. D. in Civil Engineering (Structural Engineering) is a must.

Experience

Teaching, research, or relevant industry experience in Structural Engineering is preferred. Experience with accreditation processes, research projects, or consultancy assignments will be an added advantage.
