Attorneys are expected to work from the office and comply with firm attendance requirements.Job DescriptionPosition Summary: The Ward Law Group is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Associate Attorney to join its growing team in New York City. This position manages both pre-litigation and litigation personal injury matters, handling cases throughout the lifecycle from intake through resolution. The attorney will be responsible for case strategy, client counseling, settlement negotiations, litigation oversight, and advancing cases through all appropriate stages of representation.Responsibilities:Hybrid Caseload Management: Handle both pre-litigation and litigation personal injury matters, ensuring cases are strategically advanced through all phases of representation.Case Management: Handle cases from intake through settlement, including case strategy, documentation, and complianceCase Progression: Complete Flip-to-Lit and TD approvals when appropriate, manage release approvals, and guide clients through the case lifecycleDocument Preparation: Draft and prepare pre-litigation documents such as demands and settlement packagesSettlement Negotiations: Manage demand package creation and negotiate settlements with carriersTeam Leadership: Supervise 6-10 Case Managers, ensure KPI compliance, and maintain quality control standardsClient Interaction: Conduct recorded statements, prepare clients for Examinations Under Oath (EUOs), and prepare clients for and attend 50-h hearingsPractice Focus: Primarily personal injury cases, especially motor vehicle accidentsQualificationsJuris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law schoolActive membership in good standing with the New York State Bar3+ years of personal injury / motor vehicle accident experience preferredAbility to manage a high-volume caseloadStrong client service, communication, and organizational skillsLeadership ability and self-starter mindsetExcellent writing and advocacy skillsAdditional InformationEligible employees enjoy a competitive benefits package, including:Medical, Dental & Vision InsuranceCompany-paid Life InsuranceShort-Term DisabilityLong-Term DisabilitySupplemental Insurance Options401(k) with Company MatchPaid Time OffEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Join Our TeamAt The Ward Law Group, every role contributes to changing lives.If you're looking for an opportunity to grow your litigation career, maximize client recoveries, and work alongside a high-performing legal team, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today and become part of a team committed to excellence, accountability, and changing livesone client at a time.The Ward Law Group is not accepting unsolicited assistance from search firms for this employment opportunity.
