Emergency Services Tech II - Emergency Services - Full Time Nights

ED EST Position The ED EST is responsible for providing and supporting patient care and an exceptional patient experience in the ED. The ED EST is also responsible for supporting efficient throughput of both discharged and admitted ED patients. Education, License follows procedure for reporting critical results Performs EKGs as ordered by the provider or per Nursing protocol orders Responds to call bells Assists patients as needed (e.g., ambulation, bed pans, comfort measures) Performs hourly rounding in conjunction with the ED RN; documents same in the EHR Performs 1:1 suicide watch as requested Performs the sitter role as requested Identifies needed repairs to equipment or department and submits work orders for same Maintains pre-hospital equipment in an organized clean manner and communicates with pre-hospital providers Participates in ED staff meetings and ED Shared Governance Other Duties: Performs clerical tasks and duties as assigned.
