Summary Job Description: Ultrasound Technologist Full Time, 1st Shift (40 hours/week) The Ultrasound Technologist performs obstetric diagnostic ultrasound studies under the direction of a Perinatologist, demonstrating professionalism and advanced knowledge of reproductive anatomy, physiology, and ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include performing a full range of obstetric and pelvic ultrasound exams such as complete and limited OB studies, biophysical profiles, multiple gestation exams, transvaginal/cervical length studies, pelvic ultrasounds, and assisting with amniocentesis. The technologist monitors and assesses patient status, obtains accurate medical histories, and effectively communicates pertinent clinical information to appropriate providers and staff.
