About the Role
We are looking for a Project Management Trainee with a Mechanical Engineering background who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced product design environment.
This role is well-suited for individuals who want to gain a clear understanding of how product design projects are carried out from initial concept through to manufacturing, while assisting project managers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
What You’ll Be Doing
Project Coordination & Support
Assist Project Managers in planning and tracking product design projects
Support in maintaining project timelines, schedules, and task trackers
Follow up with internal teams to ensure timely completion of deliverables
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with Industrial Designers, Mechanical Engineers, Electronics teams, and Prototyping units
Help ensure smooth communication between teams
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain project documentation, MOMs (Minutes of Meeting), and reports
Track project progress and update status dashboards
Technical Understanding
Gain exposure to product development processes, CAD workflows, and prototyping stages
Assist in basic technical coordination related to mechanical components and assemblies
Client & Internal Communication
Support in preparing presentations and reports for client updates
Participate in internal meetings and discussions
Process Learning & Improvement
Learn project management tools (MS Project, Jira, etc.)
Identify gaps and support process improvements
Who You Are
Bachelor’s degree (or final year) in Mechanical Engineering (mandatory)
Strong interest in project management + product development
Basic understanding of mechanical design, manufacturing processes, or CAD
Good communication and coordination skills
Organized, detail-oriented, and proactive
Ability to manage multiple tasks and follow up effectively
Good to Have
Exposure to tools like Solid Works, Fusion 360, Auto CAD
Basic knowledge of project management tools (Excel, Jira, MS Project)
Internship/project experience in product design or engineering
