Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Ceramic Product Designer role based in Jaipur. The Ceramic Product Designer will conceptualize and develop new ceramic tableware and related products, translating market trends and brand requirements into functional, aesthetically appealing designs. Responsibilities include conducting user and market research, sketching and prototyping forms, collaborating with production teams to ensure manufacturability, and refining designs based on feedback and performance. The role involves working closely with cross-functional teams such as marketing, quality, and engineering to align product designs with business objectives and manufacturing capabilities. The Ceramic Product Designer will also support continuous improvement in design processes, materials usage, and product innovation.
Qualifications
Strong product design skills, including Product Design and Design Thinking, with the ability to move from concept to final product. Ability to conduct and apply User Research and UX Research to inform design decisions and improve user experience with ceramic products. Proficiency in Visual Design, including form, color, texture, and surface decoration relevant to ceramics and tableware. Experience with CAD or 3 D modeling tools and hand sketching for product visualization and prototyping. Understanding of ceramic materials, manufacturing processes, and basic production constraints is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Ceramic Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Strong collaboration, communication, and time management skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site in cross-functional teams. Prior experience in tableware, home décor, or consumer product design is an advantage.
