Online Tutor - AP & IBDP - Biology

Job Type: Full-time (work from home)

Eligibility/Qualification: Bachelor's degree or higher in Biology, Education, or a related field. Strong knowledge of the IBDP & AP Biology curriculum and assessment requirements. Previous experience tutoring AP & IB Biology students preferred.

Work Experience: 3 years - 9 years of teaching in the relevant area. Experience in teaching IB Curriculum will be an added advantage.

Remuneration: 3.6 LPA to 7 LPA (based on the eligibility and recruitment criteria)

Working Days: 6 days, including Saturdays and Sundays, with one week off (Monday).

Working Timings: 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm

Roles & Responsibilities:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Biology teacher to join our faculty and teach both International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) and Advanced Placement (AP) Biology courses. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fostering scientific curiosity and excellence in students, and will be adept at delivering high-quality, rigorous instruction in both educational frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Instructional Duties:

- Teach IBDP Biology and AP Biology courses according to the curriculum and guidelines provided by the International Baccalaureate Organization (IBO) and College Board.

- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans, hands-on experiments, and assessments that align with IBDP and AP standards.

- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students and facilitate an inclusive learning environment.

2. Assessment and Evaluation:

- Create and administer formative and summative assessments to evaluate student progress and understanding.

- Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of student performance.

3. Student Support:

- Offer additional support to students through office hours, tutoring, and mentoring as needed.

- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their best and foster a positive and collaborative classroom environment.

5. Professional Development:

- Participate in professional development opportunities related to IBDP and AP teaching strategies and content.

- Engage in continuous learning to stay updated with the latest developments in Biology and educational best practices.

6. Administrative Duties:

- Prepare and submit required reports, grades, and documentation in a timely manner.

7. Community Engagement:

- Communicate effectively with parents, regarding student progress and any concerns.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Biology or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

- Experience teaching IBDP and/or AP Biology preferred.

- Strong understanding of IBDP and AP Biology curricula and assessment practices.

- Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to engage and inspire students with diverse learning styles and needs.
