Deputy Manager - Counselling

Chandigarh University is looking for an experienced Deputy Manager – Admissions to lead a high-performing counselling and admissions team.

The role will be responsible for driving student enrolments and counselling operations , while managing and developing a team of Admission Counsellors / Team Leaders.

The ideal candidate should have strong experience in admissions counselling, tele-sales, team management preferably within Education or EdTech.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and mentor a team of Admission Counsellors / Team Leaders .
• Monitor key metrics including calls, connect ratio, lead conversion, counselling, enrolments, revenue and productivity .
• Set daily/weekly/monthly targets and ensure achievement through effective team management.
• Monitor CRM usage, lead allocation, follow-ups and data hygiene.
• Improve counselling scripts, objection handling, follow-up mechanisms and closure techniques.
• Identify underperforming team members and implement performance improvement plans.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Operations, Finance and Academic teams to ensure smooth admissions.
• Ensure a high-quality student/parent experience throughout the admission journey.

Candidate Profile

• Graduate/Postgraduate in any discipline.
• 6+ years of overall experience in Education, EdTech or related functions.
• Minimum 2–3 years of team-management experience .
• Proven experience managing a sizeable counselling/Counselor team.
• Strong track record of achieving admission, enrolment.
• Experience working with CRM systems and sales dashboards.
• Strong analytical, communication, negotiation and people-management skills.
• Comfortable working in a high-volume, target-driven environment.
