The Corporate Finance Associate will be expected to provide a broad range of analytical, transaction and marketing support functions to the professionals in the Corporate Finance group and client project teams. The focus of the role will be on assisting Analysts, Vice Presidents, Managing Directors and other senior bankers on tasks performed during the execution of transactions (primarily M&A) and development of new business prospects, including preparing industry analysis, company profiles, information memorandums and presentations. Corporate Finance Associates are responsible for financial modeling, valuation analysis, mergers and acquisitions modeling, and leveraged buyout modeling. Job Responsibilities
- Participate in the origination and execution of Corporate Finance transactions including idea generation
- Build financial models and perform valuation analyses using various methodologies including discounted cash flow, leveraged buyout, merger models, trading comparables and transaction comparables
- Prepare deal marketing and deal execution presentation materials for use in client meetings, both marketing and deal execution related including acquisition strategies and ideas and sell side alternatives
- Participate in all stages of transaction executions, from deal sourcing to deal closing
- Takes lead in preparation of pitching materials , financial analyses, modelling and valuation work
- Supports senior bankers in the creation of new strategic and corporate finance ideas leading to pitches
- Managing the day-to-day information flow with clients and third-parties in a transaction execution setting or origination pitch
- Other financial analysis including the financial information about industry participants and financial capacity of potential acquirers or competitors for a business and preparing and analyzing transaction and trading comparables of companies in similar sectors and current market valuation trends
- Organizing and analyzing due diligence information and preparing information that is used by potential acquirers in their review of potential transactions
- Supervise/train analysts on tasks and skills described above and take full responsibility for work performed; The Associate is responsible for directing the work of the analysts and for teaching and coaching the junior members of the team
- Active role in the execution of M&A mandates. This includes but is not limited to maintaining quality control) of all relevant tasks required by the project and all client deliverables on a timely basis. - 3 years Investment Banking experience as an Analyst
- Strong technical proficiency in financial modeling, valuation and deal structuring
- Excellent analytical capabilities and attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
