The Opportunity:

The Economic Times is looking for a Video Editor/Producer to be part of its award-winning Podcasts & Video team, creating high-quality video content around news, business, ideas, and conversations with leading industry voices.

What You Will Do :

• Create and edit podcasts, short-form videos, reels, and news-led visual content , with a strong focus on visual storytelling.
• Own the production and post-production process , including editing, pacing, sound, colour, graphics, animation, and final output.
• Bring a strong understanding of news, visual trends, platform-specific formats, hooks, and storytelling cues , particularly for high-level conversations.
• Use AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance video production, editing, and creative workflows.
• Work effectively within a fast-paced, structured organisation, collaborating with the team while maintaining high standards of quality and continuously learning.

What You Bring:

• 1 to 4 years relevant experience as a video editor
• Strong portfolio demonstrating quality visual storytelling across podcasts, reels, shorts, or similar formats.
• Good command of video production and editing tools/workflows.
• Strong eye for pacing, visuals, sound, graphics, and overall finish.
• Awareness of current visual trends and digital video formats, with a good news sense.
• Comfortable working with AI tools and eager to explore new ways of creating and producing content.
• A collaborative team player with strong ownership, discipline, and a learning mindset.

Education :

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Film, Mass Communication, Media, Visual Arts, Video Production, or a related field.
