Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer – Microsoft Fabric & Azure with 10–15 years of experience in Data Engineering to design, build, and optimize modern cloud data platforms.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience across Microsoft Fabric and Microsoft Azure , with expertise in building scalable data solutions using Lakehouse, Data Factory, Data Warehouse, Real-Time Intelligence, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2, PySpark, Spark, SQL, and T-SQL.

You will work on modern data platforms that enable organizations to transform complex data into reliable, actionable business insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data engineering solutions using Microsoft Fabric and Azure .
  • Build and optimize Microsoft Fabric Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Data Factory, and Real-Time Intelligence solutions.
  • Develop robust data ingestion and transformation pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Microsoft Fabric.
  • Design and manage data storage solutions using Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 .
  • Build data transformation and processing workloads using PySpark and Spark Notebooks .
  • Develop complex SQL and T-SQL queries for data transformation, analysis, and performance optimization.
  • Work with Azure Synapse Analytics for large-scale data processing and analytics workloads.
  • Implement data integration, orchestration, and transformation pipelines following best practices.
  • Optimize data pipelines and workloads for performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Implement appropriate security, governance, and access controls across cloud data platforms.
  • Collaborate with data analysts, BI developers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
  • Support Power BI integrations and enable data models and datasets for business intelligence and reporting.
  • Implement CI/CD practices for data engineering workloads using Azure DevOps .
  • Troubleshoot production data pipelines and resolve performance, reliability, and data quality issues.
  • Contribute to data architecture, engineering standards, and modernization initiatives.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 10–15 years of professional experience in Data Engineering .
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric .
  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric components including:
  • Fabric Lakehouse
  • Fabric Data Factory
  • Fabric Data Warehouse
  • Fabric Real-Time Intelligence
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure data services .
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory .
  • Strong experience with Azure Synapse Analytics .
  • Experience working with Azure Data Lake Storage Gen2 (ADLS Gen2) .
  • Strong hands-on experience with PySpark and Apache Spark .
  • Strong SQL and T-SQL development skills.
  • Experience designing and optimizing data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Experience with cloud data architecture, data integration, and data transformation.
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps and CI/CD for data engineering workflows.
  • Experience with Power BI and supporting analytics/BI workloads.
  • Strong understanding of data engineering best practices, performance optimization, scalability, and data quality.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience designing enterprise-scale Microsoft Fabric data platforms.
  • Experience with Fabric Real-Time Intelligence and real-time data processing.
  • Strong understanding of Lakehouse and modern data architecture patterns.
  • Experience implementing data governance and security within Azure/Fabric environments.
  • Experience with automated deployment and infrastructure management for data platforms.
  • Experience working in large-scale cloud migration or data modernization programs.
  • Microsoft Azure or Fabric certifications are a plus.
