Market Modeler - Energy Experience - 5-15 Years Job Location - Bangalore Experience • 5 years of relevant experience in energy modelling, optimization or quantitative analysis within the power sector. Technical Skills • Proven expertise in energy system, using quantitative and computational methods. • Hands-on experience in the modelling, development and deployment of models. • Strong proficiency in Python for model development, data analysis and automation with the ability to translate technical and business requirements into clean, efficient and maintainable code. • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to research and learn new techniques. • Experience working with large time-series datasets (prices, load, weather, generation, dispatch). Good to Have Skills • Exposure to machine learning or data-driven methods applied to forecasting or energy system operations is a plus. • Relevant publications in reputed journals. • Experience in formulating and solving optimization problems, including: • Linear and Mixed-Integer Linear Programming (LP / MILP) • Stochastic optimization and simulation Tools/software - PLEXOS, PyPSA
