Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Video Editor role based in Chennai. The Video Editor will be responsible for editing raw footage into polished videos, including weddings, events, promotional content, and social media clips, following brand guidelines and client requirements. Daily tasks include organizing and selecting clips, applying transitions, audio adjustments, and visual effects, and collaborating closely with photographers, videographers, and clients to align on creative direction. The role also involves basic color correction and grading, adding motion graphics or titles when needed, and exporting final deliverables in appropriate formats and resolutions. The Video Editor will maintain project files, manage backup of footage, and support the team with creative input and ideas for improving visual storytelling. Qualifications
Strong Video Production and Video Editing skills, including experience with industry-standard editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Da Vinci Resolve). Proficiency in Video Color Grading to enhance visual quality, mood, and consistency across projects. Ability to create and integrate Motion Graphics and Graphics for titles, lower thirds, logos, and simple visual effects. Solid understanding of storytelling, pacing, and audio-visual synchronization, with strong attention to detail and quality. Ability to work on-site in Chennai, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and collaborate effectively with a creative team. Prior experience in wedding, event, or commercial video editing is an advantage; a portfolio or showreel demonstrating relevant work is required. Basic knowledge of camera formats, codecs, and export settings for various platforms (social media, web, and delivery to clients). Relevant coursework, certification, or a diploma in media, film, visual communication, or a related field is beneficial but not mandatory.
