Lead Full-Stack Web Developer (Python / FastAPI & Microsoft Fabric)

Job Title: Lead Full-Stack Web Developer (Python / FastAPI & Microsoft Fabric) Engagement Term: September 21, 2026 – December 31, 2026 (15 Weeks) Allocation: 20 hours/week (280 total hours) Location / Delivery: Offshore (US Central Time overlap required) Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Full-Stack Web Developer to lead the rebuild of a logistics operations suite—consolidating a legacy canvas app, custom dashboards, and Power Automate intake forms into a single, unified server-rendered web application. The platform will feature a mobile-first UI for warehouse floor staff and connect directly to a Microsoft Fabric SQL database backend. Key Responsibilities Web Application Architecture: Stand up and expand the server-rendered application skeleton using Python, FastAPI, Jinja2, and HTMX. Authentication & Access Control: Implement Entra ID sign-in, role-based access, and facility grant security models to replace hardcoded authorization matrices. Engine & Module Rebuilds: Build reusable form/workflow engines to handle operational intake (including Expenditure Approvals and Expense Reports) and cut over four primary operational modules. Backend & Database Integration: Design T-SQL schemas and integrate with a Microsoft Fabric transactional SQL database using Entra identities (no SQL logins). Testing & Quality Assurance: Write robust automated tests (pytest) to maintain regression gates and deliver code via standard Git pull request workflows. Required Technical Qualifications Backend: Production-level Python using FastAPI (preferred), Flask, or Django. Frontend: Server-rendered templating (Jinja2/HTMX), HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript with a mobile-first, responsive design focus. Database & Data: T-SQL transactional schema design on SQL Server / Microsoft Fabric SQL Database, including Entra ID authentication patterns. Testing & DevOps: Pytest (or equivalent automated testing framework) and Git branch/PR workflows.
