- Manage the full cycle of Account Payable including three-ways matching, invoice processing, payment preparation, and vendor account reconciliation.
- Prepare monthly journal entries for prepaid expense amortization including insurance, software subscriptions, and service agreements Maintain accurate prepaid expense schedules and supporting documentation
- Reconcile prepaid expense accounts and maintain roll-forward schedules
- Review expense reports for compliance with the Company’s Travel & Expense Policy and providing timely support to employees regarding expense-related questions
- Support Sunshine Act reporting by reviewing Accounts Payable invoices and Travel & Expense (T&E) reports, ensuring accurate coding and compliance with reporting requirements.
- Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
- Prepare and file sale and use tax returns in compliance with applicable regulations
- Coordinate annual 1099 reporting, including vendor review, preparation and filing.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing schedules
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive accounting experience within biotechnology or life sciences.
- Strong knowledge of day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, general ledger, monthly close, accruals, and statutory/compliance filings.
- Experience managing high-volume AP and operational accounting workflows in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to operate with firmness and accountability while building effective cross-functional relationships.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize across competing deadlines.
- Experience with ERP/accounting systems (NetSuite, Bill.com, Concur), and Microsoft Excel.
