Lead Technician - Commercial Flooring & Handyman Services Location: North Dallas / DFW Area, TX Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 / hour based on experience Experience Level: Senior / Lead Technician Job Description TruBlue Home Service Ally is looking for an experienced Lead Technician to support commercial flooring installation and handyman projects, including Magic Shield flooring installations at hospitals, assisted living communities, memory care facilities, rehabilitation facilities, and other commercial properties. If you have 10+ years of hands-on construction, flooring, remodeling, or handyman experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead projects and technicians, we want to talk to you. What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of paid experience in flooring, remodeling, carpentry, construction, or professional handyman services.
- Commercial project experience required, preferably working in hospitals, senior living communities, healthcare facilities, offices, retail properties, or other occupied commercial environments.
- Strong experience with multiple types of flooring installation and repair.
- Experience with subfloor preparation, flooring removal, installation, finishing, transitions, and related repair work.
- General handyman skills including drywall, carpentry, remodeling, minor plumbing, and minor electrical work.
- Ability to evaluate field conditions, identify installation issues, and determine practical solutions.
- Ability to lead and supervise a small team of technicians.
- Ability to communicate professionally with facility managers, customers, project managers, and other contractors.
- Strong attention to quality, safety, cleanliness, and protection of customer property.
- Ability to perform work in active healthcare and senior-care environments while minimizing disruption to staff, residents, and patients.
- Must have a valid Driver's License, reliable transportation, and appropriate tools.
- Must be dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Ability to communicate effectively in English.
- Lead Magic Shield flooring installation projects and other commercial flooring projects.
- Inspect job sites and confirm site conditions before installation.
- Perform and supervise flooring removal, surface preparation, installation, finishing, and cleanup.
- Coordinate the work of technicians and ensure projects meet quality standards.
- Perform general handyman, repair, and remodeling work when required.
- Communicate project progress, field issues, and material requirements to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Represent TruBlue professionally when working with hospitals, assisted living communities, memory care facilities, and other commercial customers.
