Finance Director

Our client, an established, privately owned UK manufacturer with a substantial production operation and clear growth plans, is looking for a hands-on Finance Director to lead its finance function and partner closely with the CEO.

This role suits an FD who leads at board level and still enjoys working in the detail. You'll own the numbers end to end, not just review them.
Key responsibilities
Run the monthly close and produce accurate management accounts and board packs
Personally own balance sheet reconciliations, journals and the year-end audit
Manage cash flow, working capital, credit control and banking relationships
Drive product costing, stock control and margin analysis
Lead budgeting and forecasting, and give clear commercial insight
Manage and develop a small finance team, leading from the front
Strengthen controls, systems and statutory compliance (VAT, payroll, tax)
About you
Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
Proven experience as a Finance xrexnqw Director in manufacturing, construction products or a similar operational business
A genuinely hands-on track record, comfortable doing the day-to-day accounting yourself
Strong costing, stock and management reporting skills
Commercially sharp, credible with senior stakeholders and at home in a fast-paced, owner-led business
