Hiring: US Senior Accountant Minimum 10+ Years(Mandatory) – Corporate HQ Accounting Team | Hyderabad
Our client was founded in June 2023 to partner with and drive growth in accounting and professional services firms across the United States. The organization is a rapidly growing professional services business focused on the accounting industry, with teams and operations across multiple locations in the United States and India.
We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Corporate HQ Accounting Team. This role is ideal for professionals with strong experience in US GAAP, financial reporting, month-end close, reconciliations, and corporate accounting .
Role Details
- Role: Senior Accountant
- Location: Gachibowli, Hyderabad
- Work Mode: Hybrid (3 days work from office)
- Shift Timing: 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM IST
- Transportation: Two-way cab facility provided
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with US GAAP
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
- Post journal entries, perform reconciliations, and conduct variance analysis
- Support financial reporting and accounting compliance requirements
Accounts Payable
- Review and process vendor invoices
- Ensure proper expense classification and account coding
- Identify fixed assets, prepaid expenses, and capitalization requirements
- Process employee reimbursements and corporate credit card transactions
Accounts Receivable
- Customer ledger reconciliations
- Invoice and payment application
- Daily cash receipt knock-offs and reporting
- Prepare cash receipt reports and support collections processes
Bank Reconciliation
- Reconcile bank accounts and transactions
- Match vendor payments and customer receipts
- Review bank charges and legacy account transactions
- Ensure completeness and accuracy of banking records
Month-End Close Activities
- Complete bank statement reconciliations
- Process bill-backs and month-end invoicing
- Maintain schedules for close activities
- Prepare and post entries related to:
- WIP & AR Reserves
- Bad Debt Expense
- Bonus Accruals
- Payroll Accruals
- Lease/Rent Expenses
- Prepaid Expenses
- Fixed Assets & Depreciation
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure compliance with applicable tax and regulatory requirements
- Support internal and external audits
- Maintain strong internal controls and accounting processes
- Stay updated on US GAAP and accounting standards
Team Contribution
- Mentor and support junior accounting team members
- Collaborate effectively with US-based stakeholders and cross-functional teams
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CPA or CA preferred
- Minimum 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong understanding of US GAAP and financial reporting requirements
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Oracle NetSuite and advanced Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience working with US stakeholders or global accounting teams is preferred
