fundsInvestment advisorsBroker-dealersAsset management firmsOther financial services and investment-related entitiesResponsibilitiesThe Audit Senior / Audit Manager will support and/or lead audit, review, and assurance engagements for clients within either the Commercial Real Estate or Financial Services practice.Key responsibilities include:Perform and/or oversee audit, review, and assurance engagements from planning through completion.Work closely with engagement teams, clients, managers, senior managers, and partners to manage timelines, deliverables, and audit execution.Review financial statements, workpapers, audit testing, supporting documentation, and audit conclusions for accuracy and compliance.Identify accounting, reporting, and audit issues while providing thoughtful recommendations to clients and internal teams.Build strong client relationships through consistent communication, technical guidance, and high-quality service.Support engagement planning, budgeting, workflow management, and deadline execution.For Manager-level candidates, supervise, mentor, and develop audit staff and seniors while helping manage client relationships and engagement economics.Ideal Candidate BackgroundWe are looking for candidates with public accounting audit experience in either Commercial Real Estate or Financial Services.Qualified candidates should bring:2+ years of public accounting audit experience for Senior-level opportunities.5+ years of public accounting audit experience for Manager-level opportunities.Experience auditing clients in Commercial Real Estate, Real Estate, REITs, Funds, Financial Services, Asset Management, Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Broker-Dealers, or related industries.Experience performing or managing audit engagements from planning through completion.Strong knowledge of GAAP, audit methodology, financial reporting, and client service best practices.Ability to work in a hybrid environment in Chicago.Strong communication skills, leadership ability, and desire to grow within a nationally recognized firm.CPA or CPA eligibility preferred.CPA strongly preferred for Manager-level candidates.Compensation$110,000 – $160,000
