About the Role:We are seeking a Project Engineer to support equipment startup, commissioning, qualification, troubleshooting, and project execution activities within a manufacturing environment. This individual will serve as a technical resource throughout the startup and implementation lifecycle, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure equipment and systems are successfully installed, tested, commissioned, and transitioned into operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport equipment installation, startup, commissioning, and operational readiness activities.Review and execute commissioning, qualification, and engineering documentation, including test protocols and turnover packages.Participate in equipment and system walkdowns to verify readiness and support project milestones.Assist with startup planning, system shakedown, and equipment testing activities.Troubleshoot equipment, process, and operational issues during startup and commissioning efforts.Support resolution of deviations, discrepancies, and technical issues identified during testing and startup.Participate in safety reviews and support implementation of safe startup practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) activities.Coordinate with operations, maintenance, engineering, automation, and project teams to ensure successful project execution.Participate in daily planning meetings and provide updates on project status, risks, and technical issues.Support equipment turnover and handover activities to manufacturing or operations teams.Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to equipment performance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
QualificationsBachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline.2+ years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, project engineering, commissioning, qualification, startup, validation, or a related field.Experience supporting equipment installation, startup, commissioning, qualification, validation, or capital project execution.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in a manufacturing or industrial environment.Experience reviewing technical documentation, protocols, engineering drawings, or project deliverables.Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, engineering, and project stakeholders.Strong communication, organizational, and technical documentation skills.
