About the role

The Backend Developer will design, implement and maintain server-side logic, databases, and API services using FastAPI. You'll collaborate closely with frontend and DevOps teams to deliver robust, low-latency microservices in a cloud-native environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain RESTful and WebSocket APIs with FastAPI
• Architect and build scalable microservices
• Integrate third-party services and databases
• Write clean, testable, and reusable Python code
• Optimize performance, troubleshoot and debug backend systems
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD pipelines, containerization, and monitoring
• Work cross-functionally with frontend and product teams

Qualifications required

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (BSCS)
• 2+ years of professional Python backend development
• Proven experience with FastAPI or similar ASGI frameworks
• Strong knowledge of relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Redis) databases
• Solid understanding of REST principles and async programming
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP services
• Exposure to event-driven architecture and message brokers (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Comfort with Agile/Scrum processes
