Position: Clinical Nurse Coordinator - Emergency Department
Compensation: $35.00 — $55.00

Position Purpose:
Provides consultative, educational and resource services to the nursing staff and interdisciplinary team to enhance clinical performance and facilitate quality patient care outcomes. Assists in coordination of day-to-day operations.
Works as Permanent Charge Nurse, implementing the plan of care; within the concepts of the Licensed Registered Nurse curriculum, with consideration for safety in practice, according to established prioritization of needs; documenting and communicating nursing interventions and responses of patient(s) to care.
Performs both essential and marginal job functions in a safe manner as identified by Saint Anthony Hospital and the respective department while adhering to the Hospital’s confidentiality norms and standards. Actively and consistently demonstrates the core values of Saint Anthony Hospital in all interactions with others. Assumes responsibility for knowing and maintaining established hospital and departmental objectives, policies/procedures including general sanitation, safety, environmental and infection control standards. Participates in performance activities including problem identification, data collection, solution selection, implementation and evaluation. Also assists in the care and maintenance of departmental equipment and supplies as appropriate. Participates in staff meetings and other in services, meetings or committees as required.
General Job Requirements:
- Excellent communication skills, including negotiation skills, must be persistent and persuasive.
- 3yrs of experience as a Charge Nurse or Nursing Supervisor
- Must be able to establish rapport and effective working relationships with physicians and staff.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities and manage a large workload within tight deadlines.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and self-motivation.
- Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize, schedule, coordinate, and make decisions relating to assigned tasks.
- Very strong customer service orientation, positive attitude, highly self-motivated, directed and change-oriented.
Education & Certification Requirements:
- Must have RN Degree from an accredited institution
- Must have RN License Active in IDFPR
- Must have BLS Certification *ACLS Certification Highly Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree
