Tax Specialist – Entry-Level Finance & AccountingLocation: Jersey City, NJPay Rate: $25-$26/hourContract: 6 Months, Temp-to-PermAbout the RoleRussell Tobin’s client is seeking an entry-level Tax Specialist to support tax reporting and financial operations. This is a great opportunity for candidates with a background in finance, accounting, or business who want to gain hands-on experience with tax reporting, financial processes, and regulatory compliance.What You’ll Be DoingAssist with year-end tax reporting, including 1099 and 1042-S processing.Process tax adjustments for non-U.S. clients.Support daily and monthly tax workflows and reporting activities.Help maintain accurate records and resolve tax-related discrepancies.Assist with monthly management reports and tax-related system or workflow enhancements.Support the implementation of policies, procedures, and internal controls.Ensure work is completed accurately and in accordance with established procedures.What You BringBachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred.Recent graduates and candidates seeking to begin a career in financial operations are encouraged to apply.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.Professional communication and interpersonal skills.Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.Self-motivated, proactive, and results-oriented approach.Prior tax reporting or financial services experience is a plus but not required.
