Job Description
Description Concept Solutions, LLC (CS) is seeking a Software Engineer – Java & Pega Integration to support a mission-critical application modernization program for a Department of War (DoW) customer.
This program focuses on simplifying access across a portfolio of production applications by providing a unified sign-on experience, a common work surface, and a repeatable approach for integrating applications into a shared platform.
The Software Engineer will support the integration and sustainment of Java Spring Boot applications with a Pega-based status tracking system, ensuring seamless functionality while maintaining the reliability of existing applications.
Application Integration & Sustainment
Maintain the API gateway integration between a Java Spring Boot application and a Pega-based status tracker.
Troubleshoot and resolve defects across Java and Pega integration boundaries.
Identify, diagnose, and resolve application defects to ensure continued system functionality.
Apply software patches and updates in accordance with the customer's established release calendar.
Maintain accurate and current operational runbooks to support application sustainment.
4+ years of experience developing and supporting Java applications using Spring Boot and REST integrations.
~ Hands-on experience integrating with or developing applications on the Pega platform.
~ Active Secret security clearance.
Experience with PostgreSQL.
Experience working within AWS GovCloud environments.
Location: Remote
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, with core hours of 9:00 a.m. The team operates in two-week sprints, with a customer demonstration each sprint.
Travel: 0–10%, within the Washington, DC metropolitan area.
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a security clearance. An active Secret clearance or higher
