Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Low Voltage Estimator to join our team. This is a professional position focused on budgeting and estimating for commercial low voltage projects—not a technician role. The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of low voltage systems and the ability to accurately forecast project costs, labor, and programming requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare accurate estimates and budgets for commercial low voltage installation projectsCalculate labor and material costs for fiber, copper, riser cables, security cameras, Wi-Fi, and A/V systemsRead and interpret low voltage and A/V construction blueprintsCreate and revise proposals and change ordersForecast project budgets with precisionManage multiple projects simultaneouslyCommunicate professionally with clients and team membersUtilize estimating software and QuickBooks Professional Services EstimatesRequired QualificationsMinimum 2 years of commercial low voltage experienceWorking knowledge of low voltage systems, security cameras, Wi-Fi, and/or A/VProficiency with Microsoft Excel and WordAbility to read low voltage and A/V construction blueprintsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent documentation and communication skillsProfessional demeanor when interacting with clientsAbility to multitask and manage multiple projectsTeam-oriented with a positive attitudeWillingness to learn and adaptPreferred SkillsElectrical budgeting experienceFamiliarity with estimating softwareExperience with QuickBooks Professional Services EstimatesBackground in commercial constructionWhat We OfferCompetitive salary ($60,000-$80,000 based on experience)Simple IRA retirement plan with employer matchingComprehensive health insuranceDental and vision coveragePaid vacation timePaid holidaysGrowth and advancement opportunitiesProfessional, exciting, and collaborative work environmentHybrid work flexibility (in-office/remote)
